dc.description.abstract	ln- this chapter, Bossio and Bebawi offer a comparative case study of online coverage of pro-democracy demonstrations in Egypt and Libya on six separate days in early 2011. They identify tensions between "old" and "rìew" journalistic coverage of the crisis similar to those shaping reactions to the War of the Worlds broadcast event. Despite these tensions, however, Bossio and Bebowi orgue thot shored interest in the struggle for democracy and the welfare of innocent people spurred cooperation between professional and citizen journalists during the crises.	en_US
