There are at about 200 forms of cancer and its subtypes. Each of these is caused by errors in DNA that cause cells to grow unrestrained. The identification of the changes in each cancer’s complete set of DNA or its genome is very important for improving rates of cancer prevention, early detection and treatment. Cancer genomics resources also have grown at an unparalleled speed. In this article, there is a comprehensive description of different resources of cancer genomics available across the globe. The resources reviewed include data repositories, web browsers, and analysis and visualization tools. This review and introduction will promote the awareness and expedite the usage of these resources in the cancer research community.
