dc.description.abstract	The Centre for Local Government (CLG) was engaged by Livingstone Shire Council to develop a Whole of Community Plan to ascertain the Livingstone community's aspirations for its future and to align its strategic and operational practices with these ambitions. CLG ran an extensive program of community engagement throughout 2019 and compiled the quantitative and qualitative data were used to develop a Whole of Community Plan which will sit above every other plan and strategy the Council administers and will guide asset management, budgetary, policy and programming decisions.	en_US

pubs.rights-statement	The Whole of Community Plan was unanimously approved and endorsed by Livingstone Shire Council on 5 November 2019. The Plan will sit above every other plan and strategy the Council administers and will guide asset management, budgetary, policy and programming decisions. While community strategic planning is mandated for local government in NSW, this is not the case in Queensland. As such, the Livingstone Whole of Community Plan is one of the only strategic plans developed by a Queensland council.	en_US
