The Museum of Futures is an interactive exhibition that highlights the role we all play in creating futures. Ten future artefacts in themed sets tell of two possible futures: one where we tackle climate change and one where extreme climate has changed our way of life forever. Audio narratives accompany each object, celebrating the powerful nature of stories in offering us insight into both the obvious and surprising unintended consequences of our actions. The Museum of Futures exhibition focused on the future of work, was a collaboration with the City of Sydney and the Better Buildings Cup. In this project the aim was to find out what matters to office workers and to provide a platform for people to voice their views on critical building decisions such as energy, waste, water and transport. The exhibition which toured to 10 of Sydney’s biggest office tours, including to the three skyscrapers of International Towers Sydney at Barangaroo, which together house more than 25,000 workers. Participants contributed their voice to the creation of futures by casting their vote or by leaving a message for the generations to come.
