A method is described for computing coupling between metamaterial lined horns for array applications. This is based on a Green’s function method with a negative metamaterial lining, it is shown that the usual assumptions on coupling in structures are different. An example is shown where the coupling can be decreased or increased by changing the negative permittivity or the thickness of the lining. Conditions are given to estimate the required lining thickness for reduced coupling in both the E and H-plane directions of an array.
