This paper focussed on the impact of the Egyptian Uprising of January-February 2011 and its impact on tourism. The specific case which is detailed in the reserach is the impact on the Australian tourism market to Egypt. The chapter includes the findings from of a series of interviewes with the CEOs of key Australian wholesale tourism operators which specilise in Egypt and it also looks at how they viewed the response of their Egyptiam land operatiors and the role of the egyoptiamn Tourism Authority in response to a crisis which inflicted considerable reputational damage on the marketability of Egypt.
