Biographical Note

Jack Lindsay was the eldest son of Norman Lindsay and author of over 150 books, including translations, novels, biography, politics, and philosophy. Born in Melbourne and educated in Brisbane, Lindsay graduated with first class honours from the University of Queensland. Leaving Australia in 1926, Jack Lindsay never returned and eventually settled in Castle Hedingham Essex.

Donation

Documents held by UTS Library are through a kind donation by Helen Lindsay, daughter of Jack Lindsay. These and other materials were received by the Library in May, 2013.

The Collection

All monographs and serials have full catalogue records and are housed in locked cabinets on Level 3 of the City Campus Library. Collection level records have been created for the Letters and Diaries. Digital images of selected materials in the collection have also been created. The Collection is housed in archival folders and boxes.
